| I
would like to place on record my deep satisfaction with the working of the above machine at Mackeypore Tea Estate under the banner of Kanco Enterprises Ltd. Not only the machine has worked trouble-free, there has been qualitative improvement in cutting, temperature control and rolling room hygiene due to practically no spillage, which has helped in no small measure in tea making and achieving quality. All I can say in that our decision to go for Kaizen happily proved to be correct. |

"
" ...the dryer is very easy to operate and handle ; good starting
and quick pick-up enabling it to arrive at the operting condition early.
In today's conditions of frequent power cuts, this factor plays an important
role. Operation wise it is cheaper,we got a little over 160 Kgs of made tea output with slightly over 4 Kgs of Made tea to a litre of T. D. oil. As we were Manufacturing teas with 74% wither, the figures quoted by us will further improve when withering precentage is around 68%-70%, as recommended by you. Samples sent to our Brokers, has on each occation indicated preference on Tempest teas over other dryers. ...the Tempest dryer is a very economical dryer with scope of producing high quality teas". |

"The Tempest dryer at our factory ( Koomtai ) is coupled to a 16cm stove... The average Coal consumption has been observed to be 0.62 Kg. Coal per Kg. of made tea...The average output at 70% wither is about 270 Kgs. of made tea with approximately 1.5-2% moisture content at the discharge end... The rate of fly off is now about 2%...The power consumption is 17 units per hour or 0.063 units per Kg of made tea when calculated at 270 kgs. made tea per hour ...The dryer is good for higher throughput and lower costs". |
